I feel like I'm not running at all these days, it's just work work work. Then I check my diary and realise I do in fact run, maybe not much but I'm no coach potato either.
Monday 12 April: Group run day. First long run (of 3) with them, just under 20 k was the plan but somehow I managed 22 k in just under (HM) race pace, which for me meant a total time of 2h23. The half marathon time would've been my second fastest HM race time, so that feels promising as I have the Gothenburg Half coming up (22 May).
Friday 16 April: Morning jog! First one in ages - this is when I miss living in London, with the corresponding office hours. Somehow it's a lot easier to get up and run before work when you don't have to punch in until 9.30 - by then I've already been at work for 2 hours here. Catching a bus to work at 6.55 makes running in the morning a bit painful...
Sunday 18 April: Race! The 6 k Water Run, in Stockholm, the first charity run I've found over here. Charity running is so much smaller here than in Blighty… 2100 runners in total, my time of 31:38 placed me 177th out of 537 ladies, and 3 minutes behind the former high jump champion Kajsa Bergqvist. Not bad for a tortiose! Video of me crossing the finish line here - in white tee with limegreen sleeves (and very un-cool sunnies) - and pic here (search for "Kornhamnstorg").
And the work madness continues...
