Straight line

Got off the bus from work early again today, I had to try out my new gaiters! With the snow just about gone from the bike paths it’s more like running on gravel, all the “sand” that was sprinkled on the snow/ice is spread out in a thick layer and just waits for a running shoe to come along to jump into. The gaiters did the trick – not even a grain of sand in my shoes! They were a bit warm though, so for summer I might have to design a cooler pair – I like these but it’s probably both quicker and cheaper to make my own…

I took a different route this time and I swear it didn’t feel this straight…

6 k, 39 minutes, average pulse 161, and the drivers of about 5 cars (I had my audio book on fairly loud so could’ve been more) felt the need to say hello, with their horns. Probably colleagues, no doubt I’ll hear all about how crazy they think I am for running on Monday…

  1. I didn't know these gaiter things existed. Brilliant!

  2. Ben: I hadn't known about them for long myself, well, for horses, but then they're more meant to protect the hooves from impact I think. Anyway, if you get stuff down your shoes you should defo check out dirtygirl :)
