Morning shuffle

So I did make it out the door this morning, but my legs felt pretty useless. Stiff and creaky they were, and my toes weren't too impressed with the fact that I squeezed them into my trainers. I tried to do some drills, but must have looked quite comical... One loop round the marina (a measly K) in snail pace was enough, I couldn't wait to get back in and get into the hot shower to relax my poor legs. I've read somewhere that it takes a day per raced mile to recover, is this really true? This brings us to 1 May! Seems ages away...
