Since my left foot has been moody the last few days I decided to torment it a bit. Longish drills session (long for drills that is, 3.6k) in my Kanadia Trails that is, neutral shoes that really are no good for my pronating feet unless running up hills – but if I avoid landing on my heels they’re not too bad on the flat either. Makes me really concentrate on my stride!
Also – comfort pace in them is about 6:07, which feels just like 6:28-ish in my Nirvanas, so I guess trying to retrain my feet not to land so hard on the heels can only be a good thing. Bring on the trails!
Speaking of trails, I’ve got my eyes on this race, but not sure if I dare. My dad seems to have planned the day already, complete with picnic basket and everything, so maybe I should just give in and enter, what do you think? If not the full 30k, maybe the 15k version?
hey mialena..not been around recently but read your paris posts...well done..you got round in one piece. lots of people dont. they say it takes about 8 marathon before you begin to get the knack of them..so only a few more to go :0
ReplyDeleteglad to see you have your next race planned..be a picnic for you ;)
Cheers DD :) It was very long, but I know what to expect now, should I ever be mad enough to do another... 8 marathons sounds crazy at this point, but I guess I have a few years to do it eh :)
