I met up with a fellow jogg.se-user today to show him where the local ski slope is. I hope he didn’t think I was too slow – he’s only an hour or so faster than me over a half marathon…!
Still sore from Friday’s session last night I was hoping to add to that today, and the way I feel right now is promising. What a masochist – minus the actual sex of course.
I’d planned 8-9 reps, but as the first one was a bit too long I had to shorten the rest to actually make it. It’s a bit steep this hill! I tried to run down as well but my knees complained a bit when I held back so I walked about half of each way down. Then when garmin said I’d done 16 intervals (up and down) I forgot that first one and ended up at 7 “real” ones. I felt a bit cheated for a while but then realised that the end result was still 8 – I can’t count to save my life when I run!
The warmup/cool down was 5k out and back instead of the prescribed 3, but it only felt too far when I was right near my house, despite the hills.
My pulse managed quite a cool graph today – not that I analyse it in detail…
Unfortunately I couldn’t help but wolf down a pizza while watching Inspector Montalbano on the box (nude in tonight’s episode!), but it was only tiny. And since I’m home alone…
Today’s core: 25 straight crunches, 25 each side, 25 back extensions.
