Today’s activities: lots of little swims (well, jumping in and out of the water, mostly trying to teach the nephew how to dive) in the lake near the in-laws’ summer house, eating, lounging, more swims, barbecue (halloumi, yum!), a little run. Can life get any better?
I suppose it could be cooler earlier – I headed out at 10:30pm - so I wouldn’t have to run in the (almost) dark and nearly have a heart attack every time a brown (yep they were all brown) animal makes an appearance as close to me and as suddenly as possible. “Copper snakes” (well, lizards really - or Anguis fragilis), frogs, deer, horses, cats… All equally scary when you're not quite sure what or where they are!
sounds like a great holiday M.
ReplyDeletedo you wear a headtorch in the dark so you can 'eyeball' the critters :0
wow that's a late run! i can't imagine running that late or i'd never fall asleep (i think anyway). but nice job getting it done.
ReplyDeleteDD: Fantastic! I don't dare wear a headtorch - I might see what's lurking in the dark! ;)
ReplyDeleteLindsay: I have no problems with that, I can sleep pretty much anytime. Even a few pots of coffee don't keep me up...
