Höstmilen*

It seems I only run when there’s a race on these days. Today it was the 10K that’s really 10.6 but who’s counting? Certainly not my garmin who claimed I ran 10.35, but through the woods so not trusting that really. The garmin time turned out to also be my official result, and here it is - plus the “medal”:

Höstmilen_09 I’d bring it to work if I had one to bring it to… For now next to my laptop will have to do.

Höjdkurva The course was definitely more uphill than down, but it certainly didn’t feel like this! I guess the tree roots, the mud, all the rocks and flat stone surfaces, or the combo of all three kept my mind off the incline (and I don’t think I' would’ve noticed if someone had unplugged my mp3) but at least my legs would’ve been a bit tired after all the climbing? Not.

The stupid calf just had to make a comeback – it was going so well after the two massage sessions! - on the finishing stretch so no attention from me at that point, but all in all everything felt great. Could’ve done without the runny nose (managed to cover my left shoe in snot – lovely!) but as winter is approaching I’d better get used to that particular minor detail…

* The name means “the autumn/fall (metric) mile”

  1. Cool mug! At least you are still getting out, even if only to race. Cmon now, find that mojo!

  2. Lindsay: I like black coffee mugs. Saves a lot of scrubbing ;) I do need my mojo back, I'm just eating like a runner (and then some) these days which is not great. Need new tights soon at this rate! I do have a plan though, step 1 tomorrow!
