Morning jog with a twist

I've done a Worldwide Festival of Races run before, but had forgotten all about it until stumbling on it on a blog late Saturday night. Since the race weekend was this past weekend, I had only Sunday morning to run, which frankly couldn't have been a better time to do it since the inlaws and hubby's two sisters plus partners and kids (four in total) were coming over a bit later to eat birthday cake (not mine). I expected complete mayhem!

I set out at 9am and was practically alone out on the road. It's not winter already folks! Didn't push myself in any way, and even did a little loop round a harvested wheat field (looking a bit like this, sans pretty background formations), so I wasn't particularly fast. But that wasn't the point!

The mayhem was just as bad as expected. Family's great, especially when they go back home! And today it's my parents' turn...

  4. Ben: :)

Dave: Yep, you just sign up and run and enter your result. There's even a goodie bag! Some people there seem to take it more seriously than I did though :)

Lindsay: Cheers :) I hope so!
