Dear Runner,
We regret that we have to advise you that your application to run in the 2010 Virgin London Marathon has not been successful due to massive over-subscription.
Over-subscription, yeah right. Sheer bad luck more like! I thought the odds would be better in the overseas ballot but clearly not. Oh well, I’ll just have to enter the ballot once again. 4th time lucky perhaps?
In the meantime: find another race – I can’t have a marathon PB of over 5 hours now can I? I want nice views (not miles and miles through desolate parks), maybe a river, not too hot and ideally lots of people in costume. Suggestions?

ReplyDeletedisney world is pretty cool too, and not as far as disney land. held in january and definitely costumed people running & spectating! all the characters come out to cheer on the runners :)
Ooh, Disney! Just spent ages checking out the websites getting distracted by all sorts of things. Need to think about the flights and stuff...
