Ahh…

Managed a measly 2.6k tonight, at 6:12/k pace. I really felt the effects of my bug having taken over my lungs this past week and a half - fingers crossed this run won’t come back to bite me in my (by now anything but shapely) arse like the last one did! It felt ok though, apart from the pulse band that felt like it was the correct size for my cat. That’ll be the remnants of the bug I’m sure… Feel almost shamed to post such a wee run but hey ho, that’s my status for today so what can I do. The only way is up, right? (Yep, I remember this, I’m that old…)

  1. 2.6 > 0! when getting over a sickness you often have to start back at "square one". you'll get back to your awesomeness soon enough. hope you are feeling better!

That's a bummer but as Lindsay says, you'll be back up to awesomeness soon. You've seemed sick a lot in recent months, am I mistaken?

I have a 10K in the morning. I have a feeling I'll beat my recent 10K time of 46:08 because that was a 7:26-mile and I'm running 7:21s-ish. But I probably won't beat my Regents one I did with you, which was a 43:47 (7:04s). Central Park is much hillier than Regents! (I know you don't viscerally known mile rates or whatever you're called, but hopefully you have some sense of the difference in fitness.)

    Ben!

  4. Ben: Yep, lots of evil bugs and niggles. Be gone already!
So, how did it go??? I'm working on the pace conversions, one of the programmes I'm looking at is in miles so better learn soon. You'll beat the Regent's Park one soon though, if not I'll have to fly over so we can do a multi-lap race where you can lap me proper :)
