Hard at work

Did some volunteer work at the local cat shelter today. I cleaned litter trays and cages, fed and watered the cats, and did some general socialising - especially important with the feral cats. Great stuff! Very tiring though, I think I counted 31 cats who all need their share of TLC. I'm especially proud of myself for not bringing one home! Would've been tricky as I ran home* - why take the car when it's only just over 4k?! Still suffering from the lead legs, some sessions are ok and some just rubbish. Looking at my pace today (6:13/k - 10-minute mile I think?) it's still not bad for transport running with a backpack, but it felt awful. I'm almost wishing for a deficiency of some sort so I can sort it out fairly quickly! * And also Sigge would most likely murder the poor thing...

  2. Yes but... the hard days are by far more common now than ever!
I wouldn't mind being a cat for a week though.

  3. maybe you do need to take some rest days? i know the streak is tempting to keep up with... or maybe do just 1 realllly easy mile as your "off" day so you can continue the streak?

  4. Lindsay: That's what I've been doing, shuffling for 6 minutes doesn't even seem like "running". But after today I'm thinking even that will have to give...
