The ice cream trick – works every time…

This morning I felt absolutely fine, no sore throat, no niggles at all, nothing. After a fairly productive day (nope, no rest on Sundays for a freelancer…) I decided to attempt my long run after all, on a trail that would allow me to cut my run short if needed. On my way there I met a guy who looked like he’d spray painted his face bright green, and a whole bunch of other runners who looked like they’d rather be somewhere else. Then it started raining. And then it poured down. I love running in the rain! Especially when I have my favourite uphill song by VNV Nation (ignore the bad sync!) in my headphones!

Have I ever mentioned how much I love running in the rain? Not that it shows, but I’m absolutely soaked and left puddles all over the communal entrance floor…

I didn’t want to overdo it after yesterday’s weird pulse reading, so I decided 15k was enough – but that’s 15k with hills!
