Sunny day

Since my leg feels about the same and nothing much seems to change with rest I couldn’t stay in any longer when today proved to be sunny and warm – perhaps too warm for my liking for running but hey, I’m not used to the sun just yet - and haven’t got fed up with running in it yet.

DSC01771About a mile from my house is a small nature reserve, used for grazing since the iron age and with graves and stuff too. Virtually no paths, but not too wild and the cows hadn’t been let out there yet. Perfect!

This is one of the few proper paths. Not a cow path, this one seemed made by humans.

DSC01778I was only there for about 25 minutes before I nearly had a heat stroke. Yep, I need to remember to bring water… Not such a big issue when it’s –20 and snowing!

Here’s one of the cow paths. In the distance you can barely make out a little river, this used to be a lot wider back when the Baltic Sea was 4 metres higher – I guess the whole field (brown) was under water then.

Actually I take back the comment about this place not being too wild – I failed to spot a rose bush and got myself caught in it – ouch!
