I thought –9°c was cold to run in, so put on layer one plus winter tights, layer one, thin layer 2 fleece, 2 windproof jackets (not insulated), woolly socks, a beanie, a buff and gloves. Big mistake. Huge! The legs were ok but the two layers didn’t get on so everything kept riding down. One jacket had been enough – and maybe even a regular long sleeve top instead of the fleece, the jury’s still out on that one. The buff almost came off, the gloves did. The only thing that was ok: the feet. Oh well, I’ll be better dressed for tomorrow’s group run…
Stats (pretty self-explanatory even though in Swedish I think – let me know if not!):
Slow and easy. Kilometre 3 includes two red lights.
Done! I look almost feverish due to all the layers…
mialena..i swear by my gilet in cold weather..a couple of warm baselayers then my gilet..means your body / arms 'breath' as opposed to getting all hot and bothered in a jacket (or two in your case)
ReplyDeleteyou look snug at least ;)
Dave: Yeah I know, but I thought it'd be colder... The jacket not in the pic has detachable sleeves, and I do have a proper gilet somewhere. The temp is heading towards warmer regions now so I should be ok with fewer layers than yesterday :)
