Aww, but, no...
I was meant to do 12K easy today. Easy, sure, but I really didn't feel like it at all. Also I was running into the wind, you know the type that just blows past your mouth without letting you breathe in even the tiniest bit of air, only to change direction so you almost fall flat on your face. I love running along the Thames...
In the end I settled on 9K in just under an hour, with some drills towards the end. I tried to do them in a slight slope for a change, and immediately the knee-lifts and skips became so much harder and it took some real concentration to stay balanced. Now why didn't I think of that before!

hi from charlie! reading your blogs you look in good shape for paris....lots of session i recognise as the foundation for marathon training, including the lovely 800's!
ReplyDeleteHi Charlie! Yep the schedule is pretty standard I suppose, lots of fun sessions. My pet hate is the warmup + fast 4K + warmdown, yuk. I much prefer the long/slow sessions...
ReplyDeletei didn't mean that in a derogatory way btw. you just seem to have all the right components...some people never go past long and slow
ReplyDeleteNo worries, I knew what you meant!
ReplyDeleteI'll do any type of session, but I might complain more about some than others :)
