Daylight!

It was still daylight when I got home from work yesterday! What a difference it is to come home while it's still day - if it's dark it almost feels like bedtime, as nice as that is it doesn't give you time to eat or maybe wash some stinky running clothes that can be found all over the flat. I normally hang them here and there to dry before they go in the laundry basket but for some reason they never seem to make it there. Am I a teenage boy? By the time I was ready to head out it was of course already dusk, but nevermind. I met some dodgy workmen of some kind and after their husky Hello baby-greetings I got a little worried they would hang around, but after they saw that I only ran up and down the little hill they seemed to realise there was no point, and left. They didn't look that fast anyway, ha ha. I already knew this hill is really too short, and yesterday it was even more obvious. I flew up on light feet (my Adidas Kanadia's are so comfy uphill, not to mention doing drills!) and did 10 reps instead of the prescribed 6-7. Maybe not as fast as it felt, but I see the technique as more important than speed. Maybe I've just got that down to perfection? If nothing else I've got a fantastic opportunity to run up long hills next week - a quick rush up a blue run before breakfast perhaps?
